We tend to act in a bubble, and we often think our actions do not matter in the grand scheme of things.

But your actions do matter because someone is always watching you.

 You might think eating another cookie doesn't matter, but it condones the action for someone you care about who might need to lose weight or watch their sugar intake for health reasons.

You might think numbing your life with television or social media really doesn't affect anyone.  But someone in your family needs your attention, time, or support.  And while they are watching you, wishing you might see them, the need to numb yourself makes you blind to those that really need you in their life right now.

Even if you feel disconnected or isolated, you are never truly alone.  Your actions make a difference in the lives of others.  And your actions are really the only control you have over your life.

So take control.  Make the change.  Start the book.  Write the letter.  Meditate.  Breathe.  Exercise. 

Because someone is always watching you, and what you do or do not do influences someone else to do or not do.

You have the power to change your circumstances, and when you do, you give others permission to do it also.  You pave the way, and you demonstrate that it is possible.
