The difference between interest and commitment.
Oct 12, 2022If you know anything about me, you know I have many interests. And you might have heard me call myself multi-passionate.
But having a lot of interests doesn't mean I am committed to all the things I love to do.
That's virtually impossible. And if you know anything about me, you likely know that I don't often use the word impossible.
Here is something I noticed observing potential clients over the years: most people love the idea of having money but refuse to do what's necessary to get it.
There is a HUGE interest factor in having more money but very little commitment.
Interest only gets you to focus on doing what is easy and convenient - it's not strong enough to help you overcome your limiting beliefs, fears, and excuses.
But commitment breaks down all barriers so you can do whatever it takes to achieve your goals.
Interest says, "I would like that, but it seems impossible," or "it's not meant to be for me."
Commitment says, "I want that, and I will do whatever it takes, no matter what and persevere until I get it."
Because commitment knows it's only a matter of time.
And time is all we have. Time is our most valuable resource.
Most people think time is a limited resource and feel controlled by its limitations.
But if you invest your time wisely, success (whatever success means to you) is inevitable. Success, true success, magnifies time.
Let's put it this way: you don't attract money by thinking about it - action is required.
Too many people apply the laws of attraction and resonance incorrectly or partially.
Look at the title "Think and grow rich," for instance. Yes, thought is involved, but it requires more than thought (interest); you also need action (commitment).
So far, I have used the word "money" because we all trade with it and have some experience, but if you don't resonate with it, you can substitute any other pursuit.
Money is too often misunderstood - many limiting beliefs exist around it.
Money is nothing more than a means to trade value for value. It's an idea or a way to keep score. And ideas are energy.
Understanding that money is energy, much like any other dream, desire or yearning, allows you to attract what you desire more quickly because you are prepared to do so (commitment).
Interest is a sort of wishful thinking. It's important, but it only gets you started.
Commitment keeps you going.
Does it make sense?
So how committed are you to your dreams? Do you know?
Because if you aren't sure, it's unlikely you will achieve them.
And there is nothing more important in this life than you achieving your dreams. You are here to be all you were designed to be, and it's so much more than you can imagine from where you are right now.
